Symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome are shared by several other disorders and therefore, CFS is occasionally termed post-viral fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is currently not known.

The symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome appear through a wide range of areas. Furthermore, these symptoms usually may disappear and reappear suddenly without showing an identifiable pattern. While common symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome can be made in to groups such as energy related, pain related, flu-like, cognitive, psychological , sensitivities and cardio and respiratory there are other conditions responsible for the disorder too. Hence, to be diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, the fatigue and the different symptoms must stay persistent after the handling for these terms. A medico might have to check the medical account of the patient admitting family health, old health issues, use of medicine and the existence of any allergies, to diagnose the disease as CFS. Furthermore, blood and urine trials may also be involved for the diagnosing process.

Chronic fatigue syndrome so often involve energy based problems such as debilitating fatigue, extreme exhaustion after exercises and unrefreshing sleep. Other effects range from morning stiffness to chest pains. In addition, flu-like symptoms such as joint pains without any swelling, muscle pains and sore throats may also appear. Cognitive symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome include the inability to concentrate, impaired reasoning and speech and disorientation. Furthermore, depression, anxiety and mood swings could also occur as psychological symptoms of CFS. Hypersensitivity and alcohol intolerence are two major symptoms of CFS that relates to sensitivity and intolerance. Cardio and respiratory symptoms such as abnormal heart beats and shortness of breath are also common symptoms of CFS.

Besides the main symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, various other symptoms such as chronic cough, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness loss of balance and fainting, dry mouth and weight loss or gain, have also been notifiable by patients. A significant diminution in physical activity levels and the level of the complexity of the bodily processes is also claimed .

These symptoms tend to worsen in some people while others tend to recover completely. Once the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome appear, it is better to seek medical attention swiftly, as early treatment could help to curb this disease.

it goes without saying that CFS is one of the weird types of disorders ever. The fact that CFS comes with many symptoms that are combined and interwined, makes it difficult for anyone to diagnose CFS.

Among the most frequently asked questions about chronic fatigue syndrome is what causes it. As mysterious as it is the nature of chronic fatigue syndrome and its behavior models are still a mystery to many physicians and scientists alike. Therefore, to answer in simple, the cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is still unfound.

The most common chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms include feeling extremely tired for no reason and after the slightest activity that requires physical or emotional strain. This is where trouble comes in because tiredness is often seen as a common symptom of many disorders and diseases. One fact that distinguishes chronic fatigue syndrome symptom is that you will feel tired for more than 24 hours at a stretch, even after catching sleep and resting as much as possible. Another key chronic fatigue syndrome symptom is forgetfulness and having trouble focusing on everyday things.

Muscle pains and aches that continuously hurt you for day in day out also can be taken up as a chronic fatigue syndrome symptom. Sometimes these pains maybe accompanied and extended up to various joints in your body however, without any external or internal injury causing it. Therefore, when joint pains are unaccompanied by swellings and redness in the area, you are most probably experiencing a chronic fatigue syndrome symptom.

Surprisingly enough, sore throat too can be a chronic fatigue syndrome symptom. However, since soar throat can be caused due to many reasons, it is important not to judge your condition as chronic fatigue syndrome at the onset of a sore throat. In fact, it is important that you observe at least 4-5 chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms together in order to suspect it of pertaining to CFS because the general chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms could also come up due to many other reasons.

If you feel tender lymph nodes in under arm area or on your neck, it could be a chronic fatigue syndrome symptom. Headaches are the next key chronic fatigue syndrome symptom that you could rely on to diagnose the disorder. However, just about any headache does not give you good reasons to come in to conclusions. Therefore, look for strange patterns, types or strength of headaches that affect you on a continuous basis.

If you find many of these symptoms present simultaneously, you may be looking at a chronic fatigue syndrome victim!

The most common name given to disorders characterized by constant fatigue that is unrelated to exertion and not significantly relived by rest is known as chronic fatigue syndrome. The cause and origin of chronic fatigue syndrome is not known at present although majority of the cases start unexpectedly accompanied with flu like illness whilst other cases begin within several months of severe adverse stress. Some people tend to find relief with prescription drugs although there are alternative treatments but the results vary depending on the person.A nutritional chronic fatigue syndrome diet is one possible solution but what would help most in a chronic fatigue syndrome diet are those foods that would provide immune support.

There are certain foods and drinks that might worsen the symptoms so with trial and error you would be able to find out what works best. Improving your eating habits might help you lose those extra pounds but firstly you need to feel better. A healthy chronic fatigue syndrome diet willhelp you feel better, increase your activity level and help you control your weight better. Some chronic fatigue syndrome diets might not provide proper nutrition while some diets can be seen as expensive and might not work that could ultimately damage your health.

When maintaining a chronic fatigue syndrome diet it is vital to eat a balanced diet which contain things from each of these categories, mainly grains, fruits, vegetables and diary.Protein is essential because the body needs it for growth and maintenance. 20% of the cell and tissue material is made up of protein since it also acts as hormones, antibodies and enzymes that keeps the body running.

Certain foods tend to worsen the effects of the illness of those who are a following a chronic fatigue syndrome diet. By eliminating these foods and then reintroducing them you would be able to judge how these foods make you feel.

Foods that commonly act as symptom triggers are foods containing a high number of calories, fried foods and those with high saturated fat levels, refined sugar and tobacco products including cigarettes.Foods containing caffeine, alcohol and sugary foods should be avoided as they tend to disturb your sleep and in turn making the situation worse.

People with chronic fatigue syndrome suffer from reduced energy levels which is an indication that they suffer from Vitamin B-12 deficiency. It is vital to include foods that are rich in this vitamin in the chronic fatigue syndrome diet.

Many theories exist concerning chronic fatigue syndrome causes. However even after considerable debate and research little is known about the subject and the earlier belief that, a viral infection causes chronic fatigue syndrome is no longer accepted. The fact that there is still no standard test to diagnose the disorder reveals how little is known on the subject. However research continues with some being optimistic about a potential advance on the subject though others are not so confident.

It is now believed that chronic fatigue syndrome causes are many and the disorder is caused by the convergence of various factors. Genetic factors, viral infections, abnormalities in the brain, emotional conditions and irregularities in the nervous system could cause chronic fatigue syndrome. Irregularities in hormones are also believed to be a potential cause for disorder. Feeling exhausted even without doing any physical or mental activity, pain in joints and muscles and sleep or rest providing no reprieve from exhaustion could be considered to be the primary symptoms of the disorder.

Chronic fatigue syndrome causes are still mostly theories rather than solid facts and how the causes lead to the actual disorder remains a mystery. For example medical experts are incapable to explain how genetic defects could affect the symptoms of the disorder. Then again medical professionals lack a convincing argument regarding how emotions could affect this disorder. It is not at all a hard task to find information about chronic fatigue syndrome causes. As stated above the lack of knowledge on the subject imply that certain information available regarding this issue may be incorrect. This could be particularly the case in most websites which offer information on the subject. The available information tends to be rather technical and therefore apart from those who have a good medical knowledge the others would find difficulty in understanding it.

Organizations like the chronic fatigue syndrome association are conducting extensive research on the subject and maybe though it may be not in the near future chronic fatigue syndrome causes could be identified. If so treatment for the disorder is expected to become more effective and it would provide a sense of relief for those suffering from the disorder.

Thus there should be more support for research on the subject and initiatives on the subject should have the corporation of all parties concerned. Identifying chronic fatigue syndrome causes would be a significant step in the battle against the disorder.

Chronic fatigue syndrome or CFS is more commonly a term given to disorders that are characterized by a persistent fatigue that is unrelated to exertion and is not relieved by rest. Many have pondered as to the cause of this disorder and come out empty handed. It is believed that the Epstein Barr virus is the cause behind CFS but noone has been able to confirm the claim up to date. it is said that Epstein Barr virus is capable of causing fever, heart problems and swollen glands and could become an affective agent for mononucleosis, herpes and polio while acting on the central nervous system of the body. Chronic fatigue syndrome and epstein barr virus though once considered synonymous, therefore isn t considered so anymore.

There were many factors that contributed towards people believing that chronic fatigue syndrome and epstein barr virus were synonymous. The main reason for this is that the Epstein Barr virus produces symptoms that are extremely similar to the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. Another reason is because people with chronic fatigue syndrome have very high EBV antibody levels.

The notion that chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus are synonymous was dropped when further research proved otherwise. When considering chronic fatigue syndrome and epstein barr, it is important to remember that though the virus may contribute to the development of the syndrome, it is not the sole cause. CFS may in fact be developed due to other weaknesses in the immune deficiency system and by other viruses. The findings that chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus in fact were not interconnected was further proved when the drug acyclovir; that blocks the multiplication of the EBV is not affective on CFS patients.

There are many factors that cause chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus. The causes predictably, aren t the same. Many experts believe that CFS may be caused by a number of issues within the body. Hormonal imbalances, genetic factors, nutritional deficiency, toxins and hypothyroidism are considered to be some plausible causes. One thing that chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus shares is the EBV that is considered to be responsible for polio and herpes alike. However, their characteristics and way of distribution varies to a large extent in comparison to chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus.

Therefore, scientists have completely dismissed the idea that chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus are interrelated. In fact they are even considered to be belonging to different types of bodily disorders. Therefore the similarity between chronic fatigue syndrome and epstine barr virus is easy to perceive and the misconception that the two were interrelated was due to such similarities.
